Call for Abstracts

We are pleased to provide our colleagues who are enthusiastically working in the field of diabetes with an opportunity to attend our scientific meeting in Japan. We would like to urge all overseas colleagues to actively participate in our meeting and share your knowledge by submitting their abstracts.

Abstract Submission Guidelines

All abstracts must be formally submitted via the online abstract submission system.

Abstract submission system is open from Monday, October 17 to Monday, November 28, 2016 December 12, 2016 (10:00 GMT+9).
Abstract submission has been closed. Thank you very much for your application.

  1. To submit an abstract, sign in from the “Submission” button at the bottom of this page and follow the instructions.
  2. Please make sure to keep your password, log-in ID (e-mail address) and as well as your abstract receipt number. We cannot provide new passwords or ID in any circumstances.
  3. To make any changes to your entry, use your own password and ID to log in to your personal abstract submission page. You may modify your abstract at any time until 10:00, December 12, 2016.
  4. The 9th Scientific Meeting of the Asian Association for the Study of Diabetes (AASD) will be held jointly with the 60th Annual Meeting of the Japan Diabetes Society (JDS). In the abstract submission portal, you will be asked to choose in which meeting you want to present your abstract. Please be noted, however, that the organizing committees of the 9th AASD and 60th JDS have the discretion on which meeting’s program an accepted abstract is assigned to.

Submission Contents and Format

Title: within 120 characters. (Including spaces)
Abstract Body for Abstract book: within 750 characters. (Including spaces)
Abstract Body for Peer Review: within 2,200 characters. (Including spaces)

Acceptance/Rejection Notification

Notification regarding acceptance or rejection of abstracts will be emailed by mid-March 2017.

Travel Award

9th AASD Scientific Meeting is happy to offer travel award to presenters from Asian countries.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • The presenter must be no more than 40 years of age at the time of the meeting;
  • must submit a letter from his/her supervisor, and one page curriculum vitae to the Abstract Handling Office of 60th JDS; and
  • must present his/her work in person at designated oral or poster AASD sessions at the meeting.
